How to find the Arches National Park Rockart Panel

Proceed to Delicate Arch parking area in Arches National Park. Go passed the Wolfe cabin as if you wanted to go to Delicate Arch. Watch for a sign showing the way to your left before climbing the hill. The panel is easy to find.

Warnings

Even though this is an easy hike, everyone should carry their own water since there is very little if any shade. Summertime temperatures can reach well over 100 degrees.

What to see

This is a petroglyphs that was created by the Ute Indians on the old Wolfe Ranch.

History

As the Fremont Indians were leaving the Ute Indians came into this area and left their marks on the rocks. The Ute's were the first to obtain the horses from the Spanish.

Remember Leave No Trace!

The Native American rock art can be ruined if they are touched. Please don't touch, trace, chalk, or wet the panels since this can destroy the artifacts. Please do not pick up or removed any items either. The panels have been here for thousands of years, please help  them remain here for thousands more.
